A biotech curriculum provides the skills and experiences students need to be successful in long-term, well-paid careers. While many high school science classes focus on lab-based activities, many do not cover the full-product development life cycle in biotech, which can prevent students from understanding and experiencing what a career in the biotech industry could mean for their future.

ASPET members have elected new Council and Division officers for 2024–2025.
As part of the ASPET Council meeting last November, I had the opportunity to join members of the ASPET staff and Council for a visit with House and Senate legislators on Capitol Hill. This was a great chance to communicate ASPET’s vision and mission and discuss ongoing Society activities with policy makers.
