ASPET Member Named Inaugural Fellow
Margarita L. Dubocovich, PhD, FACNP, FASPET, was recently honored by the Association of Clinical and Translational Science (ACTS) as a member of their inaugural cohort of Fellows of ACTS (FACTS).
A membership program for those who have “made substantial contributions to and service within the clinical and translational science field,” Fellows must have also demonstrated at least ten years of service within that field. A Distinguished Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Jacobs School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences at SUNY (University of Buffalo), Dr. Dubocovich has made significant contributions to clinical and translational science. At UB, she served as director of the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) Workforce Development Core, and was the lead principal investigator of the CTSA-linked KL2-Mentored Career Development Award program for over a decade, contributing to the mentorship of twenty-two clinician-scientists and researchers who have gone on to successful independent careers in translational science.
Dr. Dubocovich has been as ASPET member since 1983 and, in 2020, was named an ASPET Fellow.

Division for Pharmacology Education Inducts Two New Fellows into the Academy of Pharmacology Educators
The Academy of Pharmacology Educators was established in 2010 to recognize individuals who have made exemplary contributions to pharmacology education in one or more of the following areas: student-teacher interaction, innovative contributions, scholarly endeavors, professional development, and service. ASPET congratulates the two new Fellows inducted into the Academy this year by the Division for Pharmacology Education.
