Announcing our new journal covers for 2026!

Earlier this year, and for the first time ever, ASPET held a contest to design the covers for our five journals. We sought original artwork, covering a broad range of pharmacology including, but not limited to, cardiovascular pharmacology, drug discovery and development, molecular pharmacology, neuropharmacology, toxicology, and cancer pharmacology. The selected covers will be used for all of 2026, and the winners received $250 for each winning entry. Learn more about our new journal covers for 2026, and the scientists who designed them.

New Special Section in The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics Highlights Advances in Antithrombotic Therapy

A new special section in the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics explores novel strategies to improve antithrombotic therapy. Titled “Clot Formation: Novel Regulators, Drugs and Targets,” the collection features a total of 9 review and original research articles from world-renowned experts in platelet function, coagulation, and fibrinolysis. These articles focus on methods to improve existing therapies, as well as new approaches to target all of the components of the hemostatic system. Collectively, they present an exciting world of possibilities for the next generation of anticoagulant, antiplatelet, and thrombolytic therapeutics. Read the collection.

New Special Issue of Molecular Pharmacology: “Emerging Voices in GPCR Biology”

A new special issue titled “Emerging Voices in GPCR Biology” is now available in Molecular Pharmacology, highlighting innovative research led by early-career investigators (ECIs) across key areas of G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) science, and featuring work on GPCR signaling mechanisms, receptor-interacting partners, novel tools and methodologies, and the roles of GPCRs in health and disease.

This issue includes five original research articles and five topical reviews contributed by attendees of the Transatlantic ECI GPCR Symposium—a free, virtual event now in its fifth year, and reflects a unique collaboration between the symposium organizers and ASPET, with ECIs actively involved in editorial curation and peer review.

Together, these contributions offer fresh perspectives and spotlight the next generation of leaders in GPCR research. Read the special issue.
