ASPET Member Donald Mager Receives Lifetime Award from the International Society of Pharmacometrics

Donald MagerDonald Mager, PharmD, PhD, has received the 2024 Lewis B. Sheiner Lecturer Award from the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP). This award, ISoP’s highest honor, was established to recognize lifetime career achievements in the field of pharmacometrics. Dr. Mager joined ASPET in 2004 and is a member of the Division for Translational and Clinical Pharmacology. He is currently a professor and chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Buffalo. Image Credit: University of Buffalo

Bhagwat Prasad Named Division Director at Cincinnati Children’s

Bhagwat PrasadASPET member Bhagwat Prasad, PhD, will be the new division director of translational and clinical pharmacology at Cincinnati Children’s. He is currently a professor, pharmaceutical sciences at Washington State University and will assume his new role in the spring of 2025. In his new role Dr. Prasad will support pediatric translational and clinical pharmacology by expanding an extensive interdisciplinary network with other Cincinnati Children’s divisions and departments as well as outside academic centers and industry partners. Kent Vrana Receives Distinguished Teaching Award from the AAMC

Kent VranaThe Association of American Medical Colleges has awarded ASPET member Kent Vrana, PhD with the 2024 Alpha Omega Alpha Robert J. Glaser Distinguished Teacher Award. Dr. Vrana now becomes one of only four nationwide recipients of this prestigious recognition. He currently is a member of the ASPET Division for Neuropharmacology and joined the Society in 2004. Dr. Vrana is the Elliot S. Vesell Professor and Bernard B. Brodie Professor in Pharmacology at Pennsylvania State University. Image Credit: Penn State University
