Ashim Malhotra Appointed as
Vice President at California Northstate University

Ashim Malhotra, Ph.D., FAAPE has been appointed as Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation at California Northstate University. As VP, Dr. Malhotra will have oversight in assessment and compliance across all colleges and degree programs and the university’s 6 non-academic units.

Dr. Malhotra has been an ASPET member since 2015. He serves ASPET in various ways, including as a member of the Council, Chair of the REACH Committee, and is recognized as an Academy of Pharmacology Educators Fellow.

His scholarship includes 58 publications, two books, and more than 100 invited presentations worldwide. He has earned over 50 professional awards, including multiple national honors, and eight University President’s Awards for leadership and service at CNU and his previous university. Dr. Malhotra earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Pharmacology from St. John’s University in New York City, completed postdoctoral research with two of the world’s renowned physician-scientists at the NYU School of Medicine, and holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Hamdard University, India’s top-ranked university for pharmacy.
